NATURE JOURNALING

The pages of a journal are the body language of the world. Journaling is a positive way of opening up opportunities for you to express observations in a creative way. Journals are our interactions with the world, what we are sure of, what we are puzzled by. As the oldest way of record keeping, the objective of this workshop is to get us back in touch with our ancestral roots of observing.

I have been teaching and homeschooling for over 15 years. I taught children's art workshops in between having children, 5 in all! I took a class at Skagit Valley College years ago that incorporated scientific journaling and it planted a seed! I have worked with a variety of mediums mostly pastel on sandpaper. I was the Skagit Salmon Festival artist in 2015. I took a break professionally and now am ready to jump back into the art community.

NURTURING NATURE OBSERVERS

"Every particular in nature, a leaf, a drop, a crystal, a moment of time is related to the whole and partakes of the perfection of the whole."
